Mud Monkey

Casey and I were walking up on our mountain today and she found her first ever live Rattle Snake! She was ahead of me and was barking at a Sagebrush plant. When I got up to her and saw what was going on she learned a new lesson. Casey now understands very well what it means when I go into panic mode and scream "RUN AWAY!
Her favorite summer activity. Cooling off in the mud on a hot summers day!

Maybe Casey is trying to disguise herself so the sheep don't pick on her!

What breed is she? She's a lovely dog and growing so nicely!

Run away is good, mud on hot days is good. Looks like Casey has it very good!!

I just love that dog! So what did she do when you panicked? Glad she listened anyway :)

Casey is so funny. Smart dog too, to run when she was told!

Oh my, Casey is the image of our Pyr, including the mud rolling. I give up on keeping my floors clean during mud season; I'm pleased just to keep Sambuko moderately rubbed off and the floors just "foot-print" mud rather than long sloshes of the stuff. With all of it, enjoy Casey as our devoted, gorgeous Pyrs do not live long lives.

OMGoodness! I'm glad she wasn't bitten! Our neighbor has two white Pyrenees - beautiful (though also muddy) dogs!

Casey could be my Pyr's identical twin when it comes to mud. Bella is 9 months old now and her other favorite thing is to try to swim in sheeps water trough in a foot of water, splashes it everywhere.
