A weather-related cancellation or delay is when an institution, operation, or event is closed, canceled, or delayed as a result of inclement weather conditions. Or in my case is when the weather man says we will be getting 1 to 3 inches of snow and it turns into 1 to 2 feet!!
"Snow Day" means knocking snow off the wire out side of the chicken coop. I use the back side of a shovel and always wear a hoody to keep snow off my neck.
"Snow Day" means being careful not to lose your dogs when they are small or have short legs.
That would include all small animals.
"Snow Day" means wearing taller boots while blazing trails for all those small guys and yourself.
"Snow Day" means finding a place to spread wild bird seed for the "other" livestock.
"Snow Day" means going out to the railroad tie wall to measure the snow and see if we got 1 or 3 inches of snow.
"Snow Day" means awesome pictures, enjoying the beautiful scenes out of doors and knowing the trees and grasses will thrive with all this moisture. Do this all before the hard work takes its toll on your body and mind, on the days after a "Snow Day".
